No Final Count Yet For Measure G Vote

County Elections Office ballot counters will have their work cut out for them today. It will be the hand-counted absentee ballots that will determine whether Columbia Elementary School district Measure G passes or fails.

Local voters yesterday were to decide on a $3.6 million bond measure to help fund building of a new school gym, classrooms and other school improvements. As of last night, 65.49 percent of the voters favor the measure, but it needs a two-thirds majority vote to pass.

District superintendent John Pendley Tuesday remained positive about the election´s outcome.
