No state grant funds for the Stanislaus National Forest off-highway vehicle program.
Commissioners with the state´s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation commission told local forest officials during a public hearing in Sacramento yesterday, there is no money available.
Sources say this is the second year in a row the Stanislaus has come up short of its grant requests to support several thousand miles of off-highway roads and trails.
