Small Pox Program on Hold

Public health officials throughout Northern California have suspended their smallpox inoculation plans amid concerns linking the vaccine to heart problems. That´s when the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention can complete its investigation. California, Illinois, and New York have all suspended their smallpox vaccination programs.
