The US Forest Service has closed a Stanislaus National Forest road and an abandoned uranium mine area after determining several rocks were emitting high levels of radiation.
The Forest Service closed the Juniper Uranium Mine and Forest Road 5-N-3-13 near Kennedy Meadows Resort yesterday.
