Hundreds of San Joaquin County workers say they´re ready to strike rather than accept the county´s contract offer.
About 500 county employees turned out yesterday for a demonstration in front of the county courthouse in Stockton. They´re seeking a one year contract and a 2.5 percent pay raise.
The county is offering a two-year deal and a 0.5 percent increase.
