New Vineyard Pest

The rapid spread of a relatively new vineyard pest causes trouble for California grape growers. The insect, called the vine mealybug, feeds on vines and emits a sticky substance that harms grapes. Experts say the pest has spread to 18 counties and infests seven times more acreage than it did just two years ago.
