Details are sketchy but Calaveras County Sheriffs deputies and emergency units were at the scene of a reported shooting in the Copperopolis area near Black Creek Drive and Copper Cove Drive.
Sheriffs department dispatchers will not confirm the report this morning or give out any more information, but the first call was for the report of a possible gunshot victim. An Air Med helicopter was brought in the Copperopolis area.
The shooting was first reported around 8:15 a.m. this morning. Emergency units that were staged in the area were released at 9:45 a.m.
