Quiet Weekend for Firefighters

With the cooler temperatures, it was a relatively quiet weekend for firefighters.

A brush fire was first dispatched at 10:19am Sunday.

Downed power lines were reported to be the cause of the midmorning blaze, which burned about 25 acres of brush.

No structures were threatened, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Two weekend fire alarms, one Saturday at the Moose Lodge and another yesterday at Sonora Regional Medical Center, turned out to be false alarms.
