Proposed Settlement In Oak Canyon Ranch Dispute

Could a settlement be in the works between Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties… in the case Oak Canyon Ranch Development?

Maury Froman, the developer of the project near Copperopolis, has apparently come forward with paperwork which details a proposed settlement in the lawsuit between Tuolumne County and Calaveras County.

Back in February, the development hit a snag when Tuolumne County supervisors filed a lawsuit, saying that advance studies weren´t properly done, and ignored the potential traffic impact to OByrnes Ferry Road which connects the two counties.

The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will meet in a closed session to discuss the issue on Monday.

Folks on both sides say they are willing to discuss a settlement.

Oak Canyon Ranch would include nearly 2300 houses, over 700 townhouses, and some 3200 acres of commercial development land.
