Sierra Snow Pack Still In Good Shape

The California Department of Water Resources snow measuring team found 115 percent of average snow pack in the Sierra mountain region overall.

Jeff Cohen spokesman with the state water agency which conducts the snow survey. He says water officials are optimistic the end totals will point to a good water year.

The Central Sierra snow pack is running about 110 percent of average and the southern Sierra, Cohen says, is running at 101 percent of average.

We are about half way through the water producing season and already have received 68 percent of average precipitation.
