Daylight Saving Time Starts

Daylight-saving time returns this weekend.

Get ready to set clocks an hour ahead before going to bed Saturday night. Daylight-saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday. Safety advocates use the time change to suggest checking the batteries on smoke alarms in homes.

Daylight-saving time, which will end October 31st, is not observed in some states. They include Arizona, Hawaii, the part of Indiana located in the Eastern time zone and the territories of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and American Samoa.
