Calaveras Behavioral Health Department Introduces Family Recovery Series

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services Department is launching a new family education series to help residents learn about addictive behavior and recovery.

Director Rita Downs says the new program will be aimed at helping families of those in recovery to understand the process and the behavioral changes that go with it.

She adds that many marriages and families break up after recovery has begun because family members don´t understand what addiction is or the recovery process.

The sessions will be held on the second Wednesday of each month beginning December 14th in the Behavioral Health Services Building 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.

Those interested in attending are asked to call the Behavioral Health Services Department at 754-6555.
