Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging holiday shoppers to shop locally this season.
Chamber President George Segarini says there are many benefits to keeping money within the local economy.
He says the money spent locally circulates from three to five times, which helps to keep taxes low and profits up.
Segarini says the benefits not only extend to area merchants, but to the government and schools as well.
