Modesto Man Seriously Injured After Motorcycle Crash

Jamestown, CA — A 59-year-old Modesto man is recovering from major injuries following a single motorcycle accident yesterday.

CHP says Randall Gibson was riding westbound on Highway 120 about 6 miles west of Green Springs Road when the extremely worn rear tire on the bike blew out causing him to lose control.

A report indicates that the motorcycle ran off the edge of the highway and struck an asphalt curb.

Gibson suffered his injuries when he was ejected from the motorcycle. Investigators say Gibson was wearing a helmet, but sustained major facial injuries in the crash.

He was airlifted to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto for treatment.
