Update: Sierra Nevada Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada above 7,000 feet, until 5 PM this afternoon.

One to three inches of additional snow accumulation is expected above the 7,000 foot elevation.

Slippery conditions are expected in the higher elevations. Travel delays and chain controls are possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
