Tonight Is National Night Out

Sonora, CA — Officials from the Sonora Police Department will be talking with the public tonight as part of the National Night Out.

Although the event is an annual occurrence nationwide, it will be the first time Sonora will participate.

Police Chief Mace McIntosh says it´s a chance for community members to get together and talk about their concerns and come together against crime.

McIntosh says officials and the public will discuss ways to prevent crime and drug activity and answer any questions the community might have.

McIntosh says he and others will be at Melodies Restaurant at the corner of Washington Street and Stockton Road at 6:30 and all members of the community are welcome.
