Columbia Home Last To Be Purchased By State

Columbia, CA — The last privately owned building on Main Street in Columbia has been purchased by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

The Wilson-McConnel House was owned by Margaret Sweeley of Ukiah, and it sold for $195,000.

The two-story, two-bedroom house has been vacant since 2003. Park officials are not sure what to do with the house now, however spokespeople are asking the public for their input.
