A pair of Valley Springs men were taken into custody after being stopped by an alert law enforcement officer on Berkeley Drive.
A Calaveras County Sheriff´s spokesman reports that 22 year old Joseph Henderson was arrested during the traffic stop after deputies allegedly found several baggies containing marijuana in Henderson´s backpack.
The driver, 21 year old Michael Hersman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and an outstanding warrant. Both men were booked into Calaveras County Jail.
