French Camp, CA — A 39-year-old La Grange man is dead following a collision with a utility truck on French Camp Road early yesterday.
CHP says David Kline was driving westbound in his Chevy pickup truck when the eastbound Ford utility truck driven by 24-year-old Juan Madrigal drifted across the center line into Kline´s path.
Investigators say Madrigal then overcorrected which caused him to lose control of the Ford which overturned and spilled drywall on the roadway.
Kline´s truck reportedly overturned after the collision. Kline was pronounced dead at the scene. Madrigal and a 22-year-old passenger in the Chevy were taken to Doctors Hospital in Manteca for treatment of minor injuries.
The collision had the road closed down for about four hours.
