Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne and Calaveras unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is restricting burning to overnight hours effective today.
CDF says the restrictions went into effect at 8:00 this morning , and confine burning activities to 7:00 PM to 8:00 am. The change comes amid what authorities call increasing hazardous fire conditions.
Burning is currently allowed by permit only.
