Sonora, CA — 36 year old Cindy Ann Duran of Sparks, NV has been arrested and is being held in an un-named northern California county charged with passing counterfeit $100 traveler´s checks.
These checks have been cashed since July in Tuolumne, Mono and Inyo counties. Within Tuolumne County, these counterfeit traveler´s checks were cashed east to Strawberry and south past Groveland including Yosemite National Park.
Anyone who has been the victim of this scam should contact the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department to file a report.
