Alisha Rock Captures 2006 Mother Lode Idol Competition

Sonora,CA– Alisha Rock captured the 2006 Mother Lode Idol competition Sunday evening at the Fairgrounds.
The 28 year old single mother of a three year old boy finished second in the competition last year. She knew she had to win this year because this would be her final opportunity to enter the competition given her age. Rock received $500, Carrie Underwood concert tickets and Mother Lode Idol memorabilia.
The fair, which began on Thursday, was filled with art exhibits, hypnotist shows, fun rides and much more. Many fair goers said although they enjoyed everything the fair had to offer, the destruction derby was the favorite. Now that the fair has been put to bed for 2006, the question is, what will 2007 have to offer?
