Assistant Assessor Resigns

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Assistant Assessor Dudley Meyer is moving on.
Meyer will retire next Friday from the Assessor´s Office where he´s been since 1999.
He is the Assistant Assessor to Grant Metzger. The Board of Supervisors plans to congratulate Meyer on his retirement Monday by passing a resolution.
His career began in 1984 as an independent fee appraiser. In 1989 he began working for Nevada County where he made his way up to management.
Locally, during the days following the Pattison Fire, Meyer personally visited every property to evaluate the damage and hand delivered applications for reassessments.
Metzger says Meyer´s leadership will be greatly missed.
