Columbia, CA — The Columbia College Hall Of Fame will officially welcome two new members April 6th.

Bakersfield native Blaine Rogers, for 31 years a biology professor at Columbia, will be joined by Richard S. “Duke” York, currently the deputy director of public works for Tuolumne County. While at Columbia, Rogers supported the renovation of the historic Baker Station site in the high Sierra to an outdoor learning center for academic field studies. York will be recognized as the 2006 Columbia College alumnus of the year

Dr. Harvey “Dusty” Rhodes will receive a special leadership recognition award. He will be honroed as the first recipient of the Dr. Harvey “Dusty” Rhodes Educational Leader Award which is the Columbia College Foundation´s highest honor. Rhodes was the college´s founding president. He was inducted into the school´s Hall of Fame in 1990.
