Sonora, Ca — The 1952 classic High Noon will be on the big screen at an upcoming event designed to promote Tuolumne County´s film heritage.

The event, being organized by the non-profit Friends of the Film Commission, is scheduled for noon on January 26th at the Sonora High School Auditorium.

“Hopefully we will have some people who were part of the production of this particular film on hand, and this will be a true community event,” says FOFC Chair Jim O´Neil.

Much of the western starring Gary Cooper was filmed in Tuolumne County, notably in Columbia.

High Noon is one of the topics that will be discussed on this weekend´s Mother Lode Views that is focused on the Film Industry. Guests will include O´Neil, Tuolumne County Film Commissioner Jerry Day and Calaveras County Film Commissioner Lisa Reynolds.
