Jamestown, CA — The driver of the big rig involved in a single vehicle accident either late Friday evening or early Saturday morning on Hwy 108/120 west of O´Byrnes Ferry Rd. has been identified by C.H.P. Officer Brad Schultz as 30 year old Jeremy Bell of Jamestown.

Following the accident Bell was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center by a J-59 resident for severe facial cuts and abrasions. The CHP was notified and it was determined that Bell was “under the influence.” Bell stated that he had been involved in a confrontation but made no mention of the accident. The CHP then discovered the vehicle at 9:15am and subsequently arrested Bell.

Schultz adds that when the investigation is completed it will be turned over to the District Attorney´s office for possible prosecution.
