Inclusionary Housing Issue Returns To Supervisors’ Agenda

Sonora, CA — The inclusionary housing issue will come before the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors again tomorrow.

At eleven o´clock the Board will consider whether to amend Titles 3 and 17 respectively of the county´s ordinance code to enact and implement inclusionary ordinance by defining numerous terms, adding a new chapter to establish requirements for new residential development to contribute to the provision of affordable housing units and amending Title 3 to waive development entitlement fees and impact mitigation fees for inclusionary units.

In addition the supervisors will be asked to approve the fiscal years 2003-2008 contract with revisions for ´07-´08 with Kings View Corporation to provide services to residents under state and federal mental health and alcohol-drug funding sources. Also the Board will be asked to approve the State Department of Mental Health contract for Mental Health Services Act Community Service and Support Program.

Fifth District Supervisor Dick Pland will report on the September National Fly-In Day to Washington, D.C. that was conducted in an effort to lobby Congress to renew the Secure Rules and Community Self Determination Act which would bring $2.5 million to the county on an annual basis.

At 10:30 Nanci Sikes, the Executive Director of the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, will update the Board on tourism marketing activities and financial reports.
