Prep Football Arrives For Another Year

Sonora, CA — Another year of prep football will officially arrive in the Mother Lode this evening.

The Sonora High Wildcats will host Johansen, the Summerville Bears will be at home to meet Mariposa, Bret Harte plays at Livingston, Calaveras travels to Waterford and Oakdale will host Turlock.

The Sonora-Johansen broadcast on STAR 92.7 will get underway at 6:40 pm while the Summerville-Mariposa contest on Today´s County KKBN will start at 7:00pm. Click here to listen live.

The Wildcats finished with a 6-5 record a year ago losing in the opening round of the playoffs to Rio Linda while the Bears finished at 4-6.

Calaveras finished at 9-1 during the regular season, but the Redskins lost in the opening round of the playoffs. Bret Harte finished at 5-5.

The Oakdale Mustangs rank second in this year´s Division III pre-season poll.
