C.C. Election Department Releases List Of Openings For General District Election

San Andreas, Ca — The General District Election is scheduled for November 6, 2007 for the purpose of electing directors for various special districts.

The following information was compiled by the Calaveras County Election Department. Vacancies will occur in the following special districts:

Copperopolis Fire Protection District – 4 Directors (3 long term – 1 short term)

Jenny Lind Fire Protection District – 3 Directors (3 long term)

San Andreas Sanitary District – 3 Directors (3 long term)

Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District – 2 Directors (2 long term)

West Point Veterans Memorial District – 4 Directors (3 long term – 1 short term)

Copper Cove Rocky Road Community Services District – 3 Directors (3 long term)

The nomination period opened July 16, 2007 and closes at 5pm on August 10, 2007. Between these dates nomination papers will be available and can be obtained from the Elections Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA.
