Real Estate Market Starting To Blossom In The Mother Lode

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — According to Prudential California Realty Sales Manager Stan Nelsen, the good times are returning for the real estate industry in the Mother Lode.

Nelsen says there has been a complete turnaround from the start of the new year. The P.C.R. offices are receiving more inquiries while agents have greatly increased their showings. He adds that other brokers in the area are also experiencing similar growth.

Nelsen feels the time of the year is ripe for real estate transactions. In addition what was a seller´s market a year ago has now become a buyer´s market as the latter, by holding off, have forced sellers to drop their prices.

Nelsen also feels that low interest rates have contributed to any prosperity that the industry may be enjoying.

The majority of home buyers are coming from outside the immediate area while quite a few out-of-staters are looking for property in the Mother Lode. Nelsen adds that a number of inquiries have come from individuals who are seeking employment at Sonora Regional Medical Center with the proposed July 1 closure of many of the services offered by Tuolumne General Hospital.
