Delta Humpback Whales Headed Home

Sacramento, CA — Those two humpback whales that took a wrong turn and swam 90 miles inland to Sacramento are heading back toward the Pacific Ocean.
The Coast Guard reports the mother and her calf started moving southwest on the Sacramento River Sunday afternoon. Several Coast Guard boats followed the whales to make sure they did not reverse course.
