Sacramento Man Wins Frog Jumps For The Second Time

Angels Camp, CA — Brent Bloom has been competing in the Frog Jumps since 1971 and took home his second first place title Sunday at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.
The Frog Jump Grand Finals took place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Bloom competed and won once before in 1980.
This year Bloom´s frogLisa Can Do” jumped an amazing 21´ 4 ¼”. The current world record was set in 1986 and is 21´ 5 ¾”.
Bloom said coming so close to the record makes him want to keep on trying. Bloom works construction for Allen Bender and plans on opening his own business soon.
The fair ends Sunday night drawing a big crowd with the Demolition Derby.
