Widening Of Mono Way To Be Discussed By Transportation Council

Sonora, Ca — The Tuolumne County Transportation Council will meet Wednesday evening, and there will be discussions about a pair of major upcoming projects.

The first is the widening of Mono Way between Greenley Rd. and Fir Dr. where the stretch necks down to just two lanes.City Engineer Gerry Fuccillo is going to present different design alternatives,” says Deputy Director Darin Grossi.We´re hoping to hear from the public and people that live or work along that stretch about what their concerns might be, and what needs to be taken into consideration with the project.”

Grossi notes that there will also be discussion on Stage II of the East Sonora Bypass. The project was recently allocated $17 million in state bond funding. The meeting will begin at 5 o´clock in the Sonora City Council Chambers.
