Berryhill Promotes Organ Donor Registry

Sacramento, CA — Assemblyman Tom Berryhill, who has a personal story relating to organ donors, is urging Californians to donate life.

Berryhill was the recipient of a heart transplant in 2001.

The assemblyman spoke to a group of organ recipients and their families last week at an event hosted by the Donate Life California Registry.

He says there are more than one million organ donors registered so far. He commended the organization for its efforts to the more than 19,000 Californians who need organ transplants.

Berryhill has authored a bill that would declare April as DMV´s Donate Life California Month. To register to be an organ donor or for more information, visit www.donateLIFEcalifornia.org.

Berryhill´s district includes Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.
