Sunday Accidents In Calaveras

San Andreas, CA — Two accidents occurred in Calaveras County on Sunday, one involving a motorcycle and another involving a deer.
First off, in San Andreas on Highway 49 near Gold Strike Road, 24- year old Russell Hegel of San Andreas was driving a Honda motorcycle when he lost control and crashed. The CHP says Hegel and his passenger, 24-year old Russell Snow of Altaville, received road rash but avoided major injuries thanks to the use of their helmets.
And later in Wallace, 25-year old Crystal Montanez of Burson was driving on Camanche Parkway when she swerved to avoid a deer. She overcorrected, lost control and hit an embankment. Montanez´s airbag deployed giving her a bloody nose.
