Tuolumne City Power Due Back On

Tuolumne City is still without power this morning although PG&E have worked through the night to restore service to customers. Crews hope to have power restored by 9:30 this morning.

Residents of Soulsbyville also woke up to no power in the early hours of this morning although the lights came back on at about 6:15 am. The storm is expected to turn from snow to rain at lower elevations later today.

Main roads are for the most part cleared however smaller side roads remain slippery and in some cases treacherous so extreme caution and reduced speeds are advised when traveling in the Mother Lode today. Last night saw extremely hazardous conditions with CHP closing HWY 49 to Parrotts Ferry at the Pedro Y, for a period of time due to approximately 20 spun out cars and a trapped snow plough. That situation was cleared by about 10:30 pm.
