Twain Harte Resident Charged With Theft And Forgery

Sonora, CA — While this investigation continues because others are involved, 47 year old Robert Donald “Biz” Charles of Joaquin Gully Rd. in Twain Harte has been arrested in connection with the December theft of 16 checks from Twain Harte resident John Fitzgerald.
Those checks were cashed locally for a total loss of approximately $3,000. Sheriff´s Deputy Jeff Gempler contacted Charles who is known to the victim. After an investigation Charles was taken into custody for theft and forgery.
Charles was released from the county jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
