Salida Resident Arrested At Junction Shopping Center

Sonora, CA — Thanks to local citizens who did get involved, 20 year old William Joseph Paioni of Salida was jailed Saturday after attacking a 19 year old Coulterville resident at the Hickory Farms store in the Junction Shopping Center.
Witnesses saw Paioni use a jack handle in the attack so they took him to the ground and held him there until Sheriff´s deputies arrived.
Prior to the attack, Paioni had caused a disturbance and been escorted out of Albertson´s.
Reportedly Paioni and his friends “had words” with the 19 year old and his friends and chased them into the Hickory Farms store. Paioni´s friends left the scene as soon as deputies arrived.
Paioni is being held on $30,000 bail in the Tuolumne County Jail.
