Maggi Dies Tuesday In Modesto

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County has suffered its eighth traffic related fatality of the year.
In a story first aired August 15 on AM-1450 KVML, 32 year old Robert J. Maggi of Jackson was involved in a single vehicle accident. Maggi was eastbound on Hwy 26 west of Higdon Rd. when he failed to negotiate a turn. The 2005 Toyota Tacoma impacted a gully, became airborne and finally wedged itself between two trees.
According to the CHP report drugs and/or alcohol may have been a contributing factor. Tuesday Maggi died from his massive injuries at Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto.
