Rawhide Rd. Scheduled To Reopen At 11AM

Jamestown, CA — The Jamestown CHP office reports that Rawhide Rd. is scheduled to reopen at 11am.
Rawhide Rd. has been closed since early this morning when law enforcement officers shot and captured 40 year old Larry James DeRossette, Jr. of Jamestown after a holdup attempt at the Whistle Stop.
DeRossette pulled a handgun and was immediately shot twice by officers. He was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center to undergo surgery for wounds to his leg and abdominal area.
The Department of Justice is currently on scene. The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office and the CHP have also been involved in the investigation.
