No Cause Determined For Saturday Hwy 108 Four Vehicle Accident

Jamestown, CA — 17 year old Simone Lionudakis of Escalon has been identified by the CHP as the driver of the 2006 GMC Sierra pickup that crossed over the centerline of Hwy 108 last Saturday afternoon a mile east of the J-59 exit causing a four vehicle accident.

Officer Tom Wills states that it may have been a case of inattention on the part of the eastbound driver that caused the accident that completely shut down the highway in both directions at approximately 4:45. Alcohol has been ruled out as a possible cause of the mishap.

Lionudakis´ passenger, 23 year old Lisa Hillman of Sonora, suffered a major injury described as head trama.

In the second vehicle 75 year old Awela Shimon of Modesto suffered a fractured hip while his 57 year old passenger, Flora Shimon, suffered a broken right arm.

The respective drivers of the third and fourth vehicles, 30 year old Aretha Verbeck of Sonora and 17 year old Jessica Khan of Escalon, suffered only minor injuries.
