Residents Gather At Courthouse Park For Memorial Honor Role Day
Sonora, Ca — Sonora, Ca — An estimated $2,000 was raised for Operation MOM today at Courthouse Park in Sonora for their efforts to send needed supplies to U.S. troops overseas.
Residents also took time to sign and write notes on two scrolls that will now be sent to a unit in Afghanistan and the other to Iraq.
“It was truly amazing,” says Operation MOM Co-Chair Pat Padavana. “The amount of people who came by…I was just truly overwhelmed.”
Today´s event was held from 8am-2pm.
Operation MOM also collected boxes of non-perishable items that will be sent overseas.
On hand from STAR 92.7 doing live broadcasts were Justin and Maryann and Bruce Hayes.
From Today´s Country 93.5 KKBN were Big Joe and Bridgette along with John Bell and Jay Brooks.
