Unsafe Firearm Discharge Charge May Be Filed

Sponsored by:

Angels Camp, CA — Minutes after Tuesday midnight Angels Camp police responded to a report of yelling and noises from the backyard of a residence in the 1000 block of Utica Lane.

The responding officer then learned that shots had been fired at that same location. The officer discovered a male subject hiding in a shed in the backyard. He was identified as 32 year old transient Neil D. Seeman.

He was arrested on charges relating to violating a court protective order and public intoxication.

Further investigation revealed that the shots were fired by another resident on Utica Lane who apparently had seen Seeman in his backyard prior to the police arrival.

The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case and will decide if additional charges related to the unsafe discharge of a firearm will be filed.
