S.P.I. Mill Closure To Start Friday

Sonora, CA — The Sierra Pacific Industries Standard Mill closure will start Friday.
According to S.P.I. Community Relations Manager Mark Luster the number of employees to be laid off will be detailed either Wednesday or Thursday.
Luster added that there are still logs that must be processed through the log deck system.
Overall approximately 146 employees will lose their jobs when the mill ceases operation.
