CHP Officers Involved In Fewer Accidents

San Andreas, CA — The Valley Division of the CHP, which includes the San Andreas Office, has received the coveted state Commissioner’s Commendation for outstanding performance in departmental injury and collision reduction.
In 2008 the 17 offices in the Valley Division saw a 20 percent reduction in preventable departmental automobile accidents, 300 percent reduction in departmental preventable motorcycle accidents and a 54 percent reduction in departmental disabling injuries.
In 2008, San Andreas CHP Commander Tim Port says his office had two patrol car accidents recorded.
The reductions have saved the state hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills and time lost.
