Owl Causes Single Vehicle Accident

San Andreas, CA — 32 year old Christine Luft of San Andreas suffered soft tissue damage to her left arm when she lost control of her vehicle at 9:05 Thursday evening.
Luft was westbound on Mountain Ranch Rd. just east of Rocky Rd. when she made an unsafe turning movement to the right to avoid hitting an owl that was sitting in the roadway. She then hit her brakes and her 1992 Ford subsequently fishtailed and rolled over into the westbound lane.
Luft was transported to Mark Twain-St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
