Victim Identified In Calaveras County Traffic Fatality

San Andreas, CA — Seven year old Symon Patelzick of Valley Springs has been positively identified by the CHP as the juvenile who was killed earlier today when he was struck by a 1999 Dodge Intrepid in the Wallace-Burson area.

The accident occured near a bus stop at 6:40 am at South Comanche Parkway and Lake Camanche Lane.

The driver has been identified as 56 year old Michael Driggers also of Valley Springs.

Patelzick was transported by ground to Mark Twain-St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was to be lifeflighted to another hospital for treatment. However he was pronounced dead before the scheduled lifeflight departure.

Patelzick becomes the first Calaveras County traffic related fatality this year. The investigation is continuing at this hour.
