Woman Arrested For Assault With Vehicle

Copperopolis, CA– A woman was arrested yesterday for reportedly trying to hit a man with her car.
According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, Lori McDonald struck a man who was visiting another tenant at a residence on Thompson Way in the Poker Flat sub-division of Copperopolis.
McDonald then left the home in her vehicle at a fast rate of speed and swerved towards the man. The man had to jump out of the way to avoid being run over. Lori McDonald was arrested for battery and assault with a deadly weapon and is being held at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail.
