Winter Break Begins Soon For Mother Lode Schools
Sonora, CA– Tomorrow is the last day of school before Winter Break for nearly all Mother Lode schools. Starting Monday December 19th, school is out for winter break for all Tuolumne County schools, Calaveras Unified School District and Vallecito Union School District. January 3rd school will be back in session for Tuolumne County and Vallecito.
Calaveras Unified School District doesn’t return until the 9th of January. This applies to Mokelumne Hill, Rail Road Flat, Valley Springs, West Point and San Andreas Elementary schools, Toyon Middle School, Jenny Lind Elementary and High School, plus Gold Strike and Calaveras High Schools and others. Their extended school year started July 26th and their last day of school is June 7th.
Expect the weather during winter break to be cold but not below freezing most of the time, more precipitation is expected the end of next week according to the extended forecast on our weather page.
