Drug Arrest Near Valley Springs

Valley Springs, CA– Calaveras County authorities arrested a man this week near Valley Springs on drug related charges.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that initially a deputy issued a citation for 34-year-old David Cox who was driving a van on a suspended license. His passenger, Scott Gibbs, 38, was then arrested on several drug charges including felony possession of a controlled substance.
Among items found in the suspect’s vehicle were 7.8 grams of methamphetamine, a used methamphetamine pipe and about 28.5 grams of marijuana.
